Why Eat Fruits?

Most nutritionists would agree to the health benefits of fruits – hence the popular recommendation for at least five servings of fresh fruit a day.  Aside from being 100% bad-cholesterol free, it is a natural source of dietary fiber, and contains certain enzymes and citric acid needed for the protection and strengthening of the body’s immune system against diseases.  Eating fruits regularly is also said to help improve one’s memory and other functions of the brain. And in a Harvard research it was found out that fruitarians weigh the least when compared with the  groups of non-vegetarians, dairy vegetarians and vegetarians lending proof to the fact that fruits are effective weight loss aids.
