The Exercise

Phillips in his book says “exercise is the spark, nutrition is the fuel…without both, there can be no flame – no results.” Hence, an exercise program should accompany the Body for Life diet to increase metabolism, burn fat and tone the muscles. Six times a week from Monday to Saturday, weight training for 45 minutes and cardio exercise for 20 minutes are needed. These should be done alternately – three days for each exercise. You get a day off on the seventh day of each week and during this time, you can eat whatever you like.

Weight training targets to improve your skeletal muscle and hasten metabolism. The cardio or aerobic exercise, meantime, helps burn fat thereby resulting in gradual weight loss.

Planning is definitely a priority in following this regimen. The exact times to buy your food, eat and exercise should be carefully planned in advance.
